We received a call from a church organization for an individual needing an inside ramp. Upon our site visit we were enlightened as to the needs of this family, the mother (65 years old) still working as a school bus driver, had two daughters living with her, one in a wheelchair.
This is a multi-level home with the daughter's room in an area where they had to assist her getting into the kitchen / living room area of the home as well as needing assistance getting outside. This could not be done on her own, she needed assistance from her mother or sister.
We constructed a ramp system with a Switchback, giving her access to the whole home and access to the front door. We also had the front access modified to make it easier for her to get in and out of the house, as well as contacting the state to see if they could level the access from the road to their front walkway. They came and leveled the area over the drainage pipe for easier access to the home.
